We discovered this beautiful place by chance when walking through the neighborhood on a Sunday morning and went inside to look. It is truly a magical place that is aesthetic, comfortable and incredibly tranquil. The art, decor and environment reflect loving attention to every detail and the feeling is of being in the private, beautiful home of an avid art collector. For anyone that wants spectacular lodging in San Miguel- Go to Casa Angelitos! This castle-like dwelling has amazing views of San Miguel. It has the best home-cooked breakfast that your pesos can buy. Roger and Rosana are the most generous innkeepers who will recommend exciting adventures while in San Miguel and surrounding areas. If you are planning a party, reunion, wedding, etc - Casa Angelitos has amazing space for small groups as well as large groups and they can plan everything from food to music to fireworks! I have stayed in several different apartments at Casa Angelitos and each one is decorated and designed as if one is visiting a luxury hotel. But the greatest advantage at staying at this vacation rental is both Roger and Rosana can provide you with information about San Miguel (where, when, why, why not) that comes from Rosana growing up in San Miguel and Roger living over 25 years in San Miguel. For many it has become their home away from home as lodgers return again and again year after year including me to enjoy their graceful hospitality. If you are lucky, you might get to enjoy a home cooked meal by Rosana or Roger, both exceptional cooks. The views from Casa Angelitos are some of the best in San Miguel. Only a short walk down hill to Centro, I love the fact that for 20 pesos a Taxi will drop you off at their door if you feel the uphill return is too much for you. Location-location-location. Casa Angelitos is located in between Centro and the Luciernega Mall where a new movie theatre and food court reminds you that both the ambiance of historic Mexico and the modern conveniences of a mall all can be found close by. Plus, Roger and Rosana when they take vacations to the coast of Mexico find amazing crafts from small villages to fill the Casa Angelitos gift shop. Well I can go on and on, and by now you have decided one way or another, so enjoy your visit to Mexico. Maybe like me you will decide to make this wonderful country your home. michael
